How you can help keep this website in existence and keep it free

Dear Visitor,

My name is Kim Michaels, and I am the person who has the privilege of doing the physical work on this website. I want to let you know how this website is able to function, so you can decide whether this is something you want to support.

When you look at the rather huge amount of material available on this website, you can see that it must have taken a lot of time to take down, edit and publish it all. You can then add to that the books, audio recordings and videos, and you can understand that this could only be done because I do not have a regular job, meaning I can dedicate all of my time and energy to working for the masters.

Yet given that I have to eat, need a roof over my head and need computer equipment, how does this all function financially? Well, since 2002 my sole income has come from this website, either from the sale of books and other products or from direct donations.

Over the years, a substantial number of people have given small or large sums of money to keep this website going. So if you have enjoyed the material on this website, but you have not yet made a purchase or given a donation, you have benefitted from other people doing so.

This is not to make anyone feel guilty. I simply want to let you know that the only thing that keeps this website in existence – and keeps it free – is money from purchases or donations. So your support is both needed and appreciated.

What does the money go for?

I am quite capable of holding a regular job. I have a degree as an architect, I have experience as a technical writer and I am qualified as a translator. So I could easily get enough free-lance or regular work to support myself, but earning an income requires time. So if I have to spend time earning money, I have less time to devote to bringing forth new material.

Thus, the money that comes in first of all goes to buy my time, so I can continue to receive material from the masters and make it available for free or through books. The masters seem to have an almost unlimited amount of material they want to bring forth through me. I sometimes sense that what has been brought forth so far is only the tip of the iceberg.

Another thing that money could be used for is to promote the website through various forms of PR and advertising. However, so far there really hasn't been enough money coming in to do that. Although I live modestly, there needs to be a certain income for living expenses before there is enough to spend on promoting the site or investing in new equipment.

So if you would like to see the master's teachings reach more people, you might consider giving a donation for this purpose.

How this website can remain free

It is a fact that there are not many websites on the internet that contain so much spiritual information that is available for free.

If you look at other spiritual sites, you will see that they either have far less material or they require some form of payment for you to access the material. There may be a subscriber or membership fee or there may be advertising. In some cases, they want you to create a login, so they get your e-mail address and can use it to promote products.

Some websites are owned by companies that give away some free information in order to promote their products. Others are run by spiritual organizations who give away information as a way to recruit new members.

The Ask Real Jesus website is not owned or sponsored by any company or spiritual organization. There is no membership or subscription fee, I don't seek to get your e-mail address and I would much prefer to keep the site free from advertising.

Yet for the site to remain free, a certain amount of money needs to come in. And this is why I need and appreciate your support.

I want to take this opportunity to thank the many people who have supported this site over the years. And I hope some new visitors will consider adding a large or small donation.

I sometimes hear things from visitors that I would like to comment on:

Some people think a small donation won't make a difference, but if enough people give a little bit, it will make a big difference. And if no one gives any smaller donations, that will make a big difference as well.
Some people think I have a whole staff or organization to help me get the material produced. Yet that is not the case either.
Some people think this website just functions without money, that I am independently wealthy or that money falls from the sky.

Now that you know how the website functions, I hope you will consider whether you want to support the teachings of the Ascended Masters, so they can reach all of the many spiritual seekers who could benefit from them.

Obviously, there is always the potential that one of the books could become a bestseller so I would have enough income from that source. Yet your purchase of any book will also help make that happen, as every sale makes a book more attractive to resellers or larger publishers.

And if I should get a bestseller, I will let you know that I no longer need donations :).
