Why the teachings on this website are not set in stone

WARNING: This is a dynamic website and the teachings may change at any time.

There is no place on this website where I or a master through me makes the claim that these teachings represent an infallible or absolute truth. It is not the masters’ intention with this website to bring forth “The Word of God” that once given must stand unchanged for all time.

It is a misunderstanding to take the same approach to this website as fundamentalist Christians take to the Bible, namely that everything should be taken literally and that nothing must be changed. The masters can at any time instruct me to change or take out any teaching on this website.

As the masters explain throughout this website, it has never been their intention to bring forth an absolute or infallible truth, because this simply cannot be done given the current level of consciousness of humankind. Nor can it actually be done with words. As the masters clearly state, they want us to look beyond the outer message and tune in to their Spirit and vibration. We cannot know a master through words, but only by experiencing the Presence of the master.

In the past the masters have given many teachings, and some of them have been turned into major world religions. Yet even the scriptures of such religions are not the infallible word of God. Those who believe this are trapped in black-and-white thinking. They are also victims of the ego’s attempt to set itself up as being superior by elevating its own belief system as the “only true religion.”

This website is part of a long tradition of progressive revelation. Progressive revelation is dynamic precisely because it is adapted to current conditions on Earth. A specific teaching is given by the masters to help people at a specific level of consciousness transcend that level of consciousness. The masters can give more advanced teachings today than Jesus could give 2,000 years ago because the consciousness of humankind has been raised.

Thus, it is quite possible that if people change their consciousness, a teaching might become outdated or obsolete. It is even possible that a teaching given in a dictation can become incorrect through people’s choices. In other words, a teaching that was correct when given can now convey an incorrect message because people’s free-will choices have changed the condition the masters were talking about.

It can be helpful to consider that there is an Alpha and an Omega aspect to the teachings given on this website. The Alpha aspect is that the masters give teachings that are universal or timeless, meaning that they talk about spiritual truths that are independent of conditions on Earth. Such teachings are not likely to change, although a given teaching might become obsolete through the addition of a more advanced teaching.

The Omega aspect is that the masters talk about specific conditions on Earth, and many of these conditions are produced by and can be changed by the choices of human beings in embodiment. In the Golden Age section there is an entire section in which the masters comment on current world events. Obviously, this can be subject to change as a group of people change their consciousness.

It is helpful to keep in mind that when the masters talk about anything related to conditions on Earth, they are not trying to make an absolute statement. Their statements have one purpose only, namely to do what has the maximum potential for changing people’s consciousness. This goes for groups of people as well as individuals.

Thus, it should be obvious that the teachings on this website can indeed be changed or certain things can be removed as conditions change. This is simply normal maintenance on a dynamic website. If you want teachings that are set in stone, join an ascended master organization where there is no longer progressive revelation. Or join a fundamentalist church.

In the spring of 2010 I carried out a major reorganization of this website, where I created the Archives and placed all dictations here in chronological order. I then read each dictation and divided it into topics that were then placed as separate pages in the other sections of the website. The approach I took was that I would place the original dictation in the archives and extract information based on its relevance, leaving any remaining information to be found only in the Archives.

I at first intended to leave the dictations in the archives in their original form, but upon reading them, it became obvious that in about a dozen dictations (out of over 300) certain information was no longer conveying a correct message because they mentioned persons and an organization that are no longer affiliated with this website and my work.

Obviously, when the masters talk about a specific person or organization, anything said can be subject to change depending on people's choices, either individually or as a group. So as I was reading through all of the dictations, I became aware that certain people had been mentioned by name but the information said about them was no longer correct because of their own choices. Likewise, a certain organization was mentioned but it is no longer used by the masters. It became obvious that if I left these statements unchanged, they would be conveying a message that is no longer valid, and this would obviously be misleading especially for new visitors.

In seeking direction from the masters, they made it clear that they did not want to leave the information as it was, but that it was up to me how I implemented this. This is quite consistent with how the masters work with me. They often give me the direction of what to do but leave the practical details for me to decide. This then becomes my test and my opportunity to grow, which I fully accept.

I decided to remove the names so that what was said was not tied to a specific person or organization. Yet in each place where I removed information, I inserted a note with a link to this page, so people will know why information can be removed. However, I also took a closer look at the context in which a name or other information appeared. I acknowledged that when a name is removed, it is appropriate to reconsider whether any of the information in that sentence of paragraph is still relevant. For example, if something was said specifically to the participants of a conference in 2005, does this still have any relevance today?

In other words, I evaluated whether the information was given for a specific (and now outdated) purpose or whether it had any relevance to the overall purpose and direction that the masters have for this website. I also considered whether a sentence or paragraph conveyed any information that will be useful to new visitors to the site. Based on this evaluation, I in some cases removed a sentence, paragraph or section. In some cases I edited a sentence slightly to omit a name, and this change was marked in [brackets] with a link to this page.

This does not mean that I removed all outdated information. For example, Mother Mary started several dictations by thanking people for participating in a rosary vigil that is long gone. This information is outdated, but since it does not convey incorrect or misleading information, I have left it in the Archives. It still conveys the message that the masters appreciate rosary vigils.

It is possible that a similar evaluation will be applied to other parts of the site in the future if time and priorities allow. For example, the current affairs section contains some information that is no longer relevant because world conditions have changed. Likewise, some of the early questions and answers really no longer fit in with the tremendous change that has happened to the site since they were given back in 2003 or 2004.

In this respect, let me point out that the masters have always attempted to make this website be able to stand on its own, meaning that they generally do not talk about topics that are not explained on the site. For example, in the early days there was no direct explanation of the human ego. Thus, many of the early answers do not mention the ego even though it would have been relevant to the question. Yet many of the answers given after the ego teachings were released do indeed refer to these teachings.

So based on this one consideration, it would indeed be relevant to update some of the early answers so they make use of the ego teachings and other later teachings. At this point this isn’t a priority for the masters, but who knows when it might become so?

As Saint Germain has inaugurated the Aquarian age and stated that “Everything has changed,” who knows what changes might occur in the future? Personally, I find this very exciting and look forward to what the masters have up the sleeves of their seamless garments.
