Answer from Jesus:
It does not take a genius to see that the difference in the sexes of
the physical body has one purpose only, and that is the creation of
children. Why do we have a male and a female sex unless it is for the
creation of new life—and thereby for the sustainability of the
race as a whole? So my beloved, even though modern society has disassociated
sexual activity from that original purpose, it is nevertheless true
that the only real justification for sex is the creation of new life.
For surely, my beloved, you do not really imagine that we have physical
sex in heaven, do you? We have far more gratifying ways of interacting
with each other and achieving a spiritual union that is beyond what
anyone can achieve on Earth, even though some people have claimed to
experience spiritual ecstasy through sexual activity.
So my beloved, the reality is that you have males and females for the
purpose of creating new life, not for the purpose of enjoying sexual
activity. I am not thereby saying that it is wrong to enjoy it, for
when you are on Earth there is nothing wrong with enjoying what is available
here, as long as you realize that every activity uses energy and that
you only have a finite amount, thus must decide wisely how you use it.
The problem in modern society, my beloved, is that everything has been
disassociated from its original purpose, and so you now see that people
use sex as a form of escapism. And thus, many people are as addicted
to sex as other people are to alcohol or drugs. For it has become just
another form of forgetting who you are for a few brief moments. And
this, my beloved, certainly will not lead to any form of higher experience.
So when you recognize the purpose of sex, you realize that a homosexual
union cannot produce offspring. And this should tell you right there
that homosexuality is not part of God's original design. I have already
given further teachings on this,
and really, if what I have said does not suffice, then I am at a loss
to know what to say to people that will make them see the obvious.
Yet what I will say is that we of the Ascended Host are not concerned
about the institutions of society recognizing that – currently
– there is a great percentage of the population who have chosen
a homosexual lifestyle. And if two people of the same sex desire to
live together in a committed relationship, well then they deserve the
same legal status as a heterosexual couple. Yet there is a fundamental
difference between society recognizing this and actually having a church
marry homosexual couples.
For you see, my beloved, the church should be aligned with the reality
of God. And so, if you have a church that recognizes homosexuality,
allows openly homosexual clergy and allows homosexual marriages within
the church, then you have already proven that you have a church that
is separated from God's reality and now has become an entirely earthly
institution—as I have said is the case for the Church
of England after the king made himself the head of that church.
This, of course, is fine if the people want that kind of a church—then
they get the church they deserve. And the people have a right to choose
whatever they want for their society and then, as they experience the
consequences of it, have another opportunity to rethink their former
choice. This is how the law of free will outplays itself. And as we
have said before, if people will not learn from Divine Direction, they
must learn from the school of hard knocks, and some will not learn until
the knocks become very, very hard.
And so, my recommendation for Sweden would be that the Swedish people
would be very conscious of the fact that they represent the Father among
the four Scandinavian countries. And thus, their potential in Scandinavia
is to align themselves with the law of the Father, the timeless principles
of the Father. And when they do so, it will become very clear for them
how they should deal with the issue of homosexuality and all other issues
in society.
