from Jesus:
A very good question—for
which I have no answer.
The simple reason is that I don't know what constitutes one hundred
percent irrefutable evidence. When I walked the Earth 2,000 years ago,
I raised the dead, I healed the sick, I walked on water, I turned water
into wine and still there were people who doubted that I was the Messiah.
The simple fact is that the carnal mind can always question and doubt
absolutely any evidence. Because the carnal mind is dualistic, it seeks
to create a relative framework that enables it to believe what it wants
to believe, and consequently to disbelieve what it wants to disbelieve.
Even though I performed miracles, I could not convince the scribes,
the Pharisees, the Sadducees, the lawyers and the temple priests of
the Jewish religion. I can assure you that no matter what evidence could
possibly be given, it would not convince the scribes, the Pharisees,
the Sadducees, the lawyers and the temple priests of the scientific
establishment or even orthodox Christianity.
You see, once a power elite has established itself in any field, it
makes use of a principle that we might call the privilege of formulating
the problem. When you conquer this privilege, and when you operate from
the duality and relativity of the carnal mind, you define a framework
in which your basic beliefs cannot be disproved. The reason they cannot
be disproved is that you have defined these beliefs in such a way that
they always give you a way out. You can always refute any evidence that
contradicts your basic beliefs, your paradigms, your mental holy cows.
For example, most orthodox Christians vehemently deny the reality of
reincarnation, and consequently they adhere to the doctrine that the
soul does not exist before the conception of the physical body. Well,
if you do not believe that the soul exists before conception, you cannot
give an irrefutable proof of the soul's existence after death. If the
soul can exist independently of the body, it can exist both before the
conception of and after the death of the body.
Likewise, the scientific establishment has defined that anything that
cannot be proven by instruments made of matter simply does not exist.
The soul is a non-material entity, so how could the existence of the
soul possibly be detected by an instrument made of matter? You might
be aware that an ordinary microscope cannot detect a subatomic particle,
no matter how powerful that microscope is. The simple reason is that
the microscope makes use of visible light, and the wavelength of visible
light make it impossible to see a subatomic particle directly.
The instruments that have been developed by science up to this point
simply cannot detect the soul. There are some instruments that can detect
the energies of the soul, but so far they have not been accepted by
mainstream science.
Finally, there is the Law of Free Will. God simply does not want humankind
to have irrefutable evidence about the existence of God or the spiritual
realm. God wants this to be a matter of belief, because this requirement
acts as a filter, filtering out those who are not willing to look beyond
the carnal mind and their own egos. These are precisely the people who
cannot enter the kingdom of God anyway, because until you look beyond
the carnal mind and the human ego, you have no chance of attaining Christ
consciousness. So what would be the point in proving the existence of
Heaven to people who have no chance of entering Heaven?
One might say, “But if there was irrefutable proof, these people
would be converted.” Unfortunately, this is not true, as my rejection
by the religious authorities proves. There are numerous examples of
how we of the Ascended Host have given proof that has been accepted
by many people but nevertheless rejected by some. The people who reject
such proof are simply not ready for the path of Christhood.
If you read the scriptures, you will see that I often said that those
who had ears had better hear. Having ears means to be open to the Living
Truth that can be known only through direct experience in your heart.
If you are not open, there is no outer proof that can open your mind
and heart to the truth. And when you are not open to the truth, you
can and will question and tear down any evidence that could possibly
be given.
I have seen people who observed that I raised a man from the dead. These
people knew and fully believed that the person was dead. They saw the
person raised from the dead and walking around. Yet they were still
not convinced that I had anything of value to teach them. And after
a very short period of time, their carnal minds had made them doubt,
explain away or deny what they had observed with their senses. There
is an old saying that seeing is believing, but it is only true for those
with open minds and hearts. Those who are not open will quickly find
ways to deny what they saw with their own eyes. That is why I said:
Thomas, because
thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have
not seen, and yet have believed. (John 20:29)
The brutal truth is that
as a spiritual seeker you need to realize that there are some people
who currently are not in a state of consciousness in which they can
be awakened to the spiritual path, as I explain elsewhere.
Therefore, you should be careful not to waste your time and energy on
such people. As I said,
Give not that which
is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest
they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
(Matthew 7:6)
This might sound brutal,
but the reality is that life is too short to worry about helping those
who will not help themselves. There are so many people who are open,
and they are the ones I was talking about when I told my disciples to
feed my sheep. The others you simply have to leave behind, as I said:
Follow me; and
let the dead bury their dead. (Matthew 8:22)
