Basically, everything I have
said about the Kryon material also applies
to the Seth material. It is brought forth by a being in the mental realm.
There is no evil intent, and there is a sophisticated understanding
of many aspects of life. Yet the teaching does not come from the Ascended
Host and is not sponsored by the Ascended host. You do not contact us
by using a Ouija board or trance channeling.
When you consider everything I have said about channeling [see other
answers in this section], you
will see that I am asking people to avoid going into a black-and-white
reaction to channeled material. On the one hand, you have many mainstream
Christians who uncritically reject any material that seems to be channeled,
including the teachings on this website and the teachings that the Ascended
Host have released through other messengers for a more than a century.
On the other hand you have many New Age seekers who uncritically accept
any channeled material as if it was genuine or fully reliable. Neither
of these reactions are healthy because you need to keep an open mind
but a discerning mind. As Gautama Buddha said:
Accept nothing
that is unreasonable, discard nothing as unreasonable without proper
examination.
Proper examination means
that you use your intuition to get insights from your Christ self instead
of deciding with your emotional body or your intellect.
What I would like all sincere spiritual seekers to realize is that when
you find a spiritual teaching, be it from a channeled source or from
other sources, that teaching is exactly what you need at that point
on your spiritual path. You find that teaching because there is something
you need to learn from studying that teaching. You might need to pick
up certain insights, and that teaching expresses those insights in a
language that is uniquely adapted to unlocking your inner understanding.
Therefore, people subconsciously attract a specific teaching because
it can help them take the next step on their personal path.
Nevertheless, I am also asking people to realize that as you climb to
a higher level on your path, you need to look for the teaching that
can take you further. In other words, it is always dangerous for spiritual
seekers to become stuck in a particular outer teaching. One of the most
important principles that guide the spiritual path is the saying, “When
the student is ready, the teacher appears.” This means that when
you find a particular teaching, that teaching is the teacher you need
at your present level of consciousness. Yet if you apply that teaching,
you should rise to a higher level of consciousness. And when you do,
the teaching that got you to that level might have served its purpose.
If you are a sincere spiritual seeker, you need to realize that there
might come a point when you need to leave a certain teaching behind.
You have now risen to a level of consciousness where you are ready for
the next teacher. At that point, the next teacher is already waiting
for you, but if you remain attached to a particular teaching, you might
not recognize the new teacher or be willing to follow the new teaching.
This would indeed be a tragedy, and many spiritual seekers have slowed
down their growth, or aborted it completely, by becoming attached to
a specific teaching.
My point here is that there are many people who have been helped by
the teachings brought forth through various channelers. There are certain
teachings from the mental realm that can help many people in today's
rational, scientific age gain a deeper understanding of spiritual ideas.
Yet when you mature on the spiritual path, you also need to be aware
that the beings who release channeled material from the mental realm
are stuck in that realm because they have not been able to free themselves
from the subtle perversions of the mental faculties.
The most important of these perversions is intellectual or spiritual
pride. You will see many people in embodiment who suffer from intellectual
or spiritual pride, and they literally believe they know everything
there is to know about the spiritual side of life. You will see from
the scriptures that the scribes and the Pharisees belonged to this category
of people. That is why they were not open to the Living Truth that I
came to bring. And that is why I said that unless your righteousness
exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees (Matthew 5:20),
you cannot enter the kingdom of Heaven, meaning the spiritual realm.
The simple fact is that even though the scribes and Pharisees thought
they knew everything about God, their intellectual knowledge could not
give them Christ consciousness, and without Christ consciousness you
cannot enter the spiritual realm.
The teachings channeled from the mental realm can take you to a certain
level, but unless you transcend the teachings, you will begin to take
in the subtle spiritual pride that is woven through the teachings. And
gradually you can become so enveloped in this pride that you can no
longer see the need to go beyond the teaching that has given you the
feeling that you understand everything there is to understand about
God.
In fact, many of today’s spiritual seekers were attracted to such
channeled teachings precisely because they need to overcome the consciousness
of mental pride. This pride is a product of the rational, scientific
age which has glorified the intellect for centuries. So even though
a particular channeled teaching might have given you many insights,
the greater lesson is that you need to transcend the mental approach
to spirituality and truly adopt the intuitive approach that puts you
in direct contact with the inner teacher of your Christ self. You need
to replace the intellectual understanding of truth with the Living Spirit
of truth.
As I have said before, the outer scriptures of any religion are no substitute
for Christ consciousness. Likewise, the channeled teachings from the
mental realm are no substitute for Christ consciousness. For that matter,
the outer teachings on this website are no substitute for Christ consciousness.
Yet at least the teachings on this website are brought fourth from a
being who has attained Christ consciousness. And if you heed my repeated
warnings to go beyond the outer teaching and seek insights directly
from your Christ self, the tools and teachings on this website can indeed
take you to Christ consciousness.
I cannot give you specific comments on a material as vast as the Seth
material unless you give me specific questions.
