from Jesus:
Mark 16:9. ¶
Now when [Jesus] was risen early the first [day] of the week, he appeared
first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
10 [And] she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned
and wept.
11 And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen
of her, believed not.
I appeared first to Mary
Magdalene because she was the person who was closest to me. When someone
dies, you normally inform the next of kin who is closest to the deceased
person before anyone else. When you have died and gone through the resurrection,
you want to inform the person who is closest to you before anyone else.
Mary was closest to me because she is my twin soul, also called my twin
flame. I have explained elsewhere
that when God created the world, he created two spiritual beings who
hold the masculine and feminine polarities. In the Bible, these beings
are referred to as Alpha and Omega. Everything in the universe is created
through the interaction of two opposite polarities, as illustrated in
the Taoist symbol of the Tai-Chi.
A new soul is not created alone. Souls are created in pairs, one soul
holding the masculine and one holding the feminine polarity. This does
not mean that one soul is exclusively feminine and the other exclusively
masculine. The soul holding the masculine polarity is 60 percent male
and 40 percent female. The soul holding the feminine polarity has the
opposite relationship between male and female qualities.
Mary Magdalene was/is the feminine polarity as I am the masculine polarity
of our souls. We were created together by Alpha and Omega and we embodied
together on this planet for a special mission. She greatly helped hold
the balance, the spiritual balance, for me during my incarnation as
Jesus. Mary is today an Ascended Master, known as the Ascended Master
Magda.
There was another reason why I appeared to Mary Magdalene before I appeared
to my disciples. One of the main purposes behind my mission was to reinstate
women in their rightful role and position. Throughout the ancient world,
women had been degraded into being subservient to men in most respects.
In most cultures women were clearly seen as being less valuable and
less worthy compared to men. Throughout the Middle East, this inferiority
was to a large degree based on the fact that women, in the person of
Eve, were blamed for the Fall of man.
In reality, this is a fallacy. Based on my teaching that souls are created
in polarities, one might reason that it was the soul holding the feminine
polarity that fell and dragged the masculine soul with it. In reality,
it was the feminine aspect of every soul that fell and not simply the
soul holding the feminine polarity. In other words, a soul is both masculine
and feminine and it was the female aspect of the soul which fell into
a lower state of consciousness. Therefore, it is completely incorrect
to blame women for the fall of the human race. This one-sided view of
the Fall is devastating to the spiritual growth of both men and women.
The problem with this line of reasoning is that it causes both men and
women to miss essential opportunities for spiritual growth. Men tend
to think that because they did not cause the fall, they are not really
to blame. Therefore, they refuse to take full responsibility and accountability
for their situation. They refuse to see that it was their own feminine
nature which fell and that only by acknowledging their feminine nature,
and by raising it up to its original stature, will men be able to attain
the balance that allows them to rise to a higher state of consciousness.
Women either tend to accept the blame and therefore feel inferior to
men or they tend to rebel against the blame and therefore refuse accountability
for the situation. Both of these reactions prevent women from accepting
the simple fact that the feminine aspect of their nature fell because
it was not in its proper polarity with the masculine nature. In other
words, it began to think that it could act on its own and ignore the
masculine side of itself.
In reality, both the masculine and feminine souls fell because they
did not have the proper balance between their masculine and feminine
aspects. The masculine aspect of a soul, the yang aspect of the soul,
is meant to be the active element. The feminine aspect of the soul,
the yin aspect, is meant to be the passive or receiving element.
By nature, the feminine aspect of the soul will adapt and take on form
according to impulses from outside itself. Ideally, these impulses should
come only through the soul’s masculine nature which should be
in conscious contact with the soul’s spiritual self. What caused
the Fall was that the feminine nature of some souls began to listen
to impulses from outside the soul. These impulses came from lower forces,
illustrated as the Serpent, that were not in alignment with the Laws
of God. The feminine aspect of the soul rebelled against its spiritual
self, and therefore the soul gradually lost contact with the spiritual
self and forgot its spiritual origin. To come back to wholeness, to
come back to Holiness, the soul must regain balance and that can only
happen when the feminine aspect of the soul submits itself to the authority
of the masculine aspect of the soul and through that to the spiritual
self.
Take note that there is absolutely no value judgment in these statements.
I am not in any way saying that the feminine aspect is less worthy or
less valuable than the masculine aspect. Only human beings who are caught
in the relativity of the lower state of consciousness will impose such
a value judgment. Both aspects are needed for harmonious creation and
are, therefore, equally valuable. It is simply that one aspect plays
the role of the acting and another the role of the receiving element.
Ideally, a soul should value both aspects of its nature and should have
the proper balance between them. In a masculine soul, the yang aspect
should be more dominant whereas in the female soul the yin aspect is
dominant. However, it should still be on the receiving end of the masculine,
meaning the spiritual self. When souls become unbalanced, the masculine
soul tends to ignore or even deny its feminine nature and it can become
very harsh and domineering. The feminine soul tends to ignore or deny
its masculine nature. This might cause the feminine soul to give up
responsibility for itself and want someone else to rule its life, as
you see in many women on Earth. Or it might cause the soul to rebel
against masculine authority and refuse to follow not only male authority
on Earth but also its own inner male authority in the form of the spiritual
self.
The result of this imbalance in a society is that men want to take on
the domineering role and subdue women. Over many millennia, this has
resulted in innumerable atrocities committed by men against women. When
I appeared 2,000 years ago, an important part of my mission was to overturn
this male dominance. The ancient Israelites had focused all of their
attention on the masculine aspect of God and they had ignored, even
completely forgotten, the feminine aspect of God. Throughout history
you will see that some cultures have actually worshipped the feminine
aspect of God. Unfortunately, very few cultures have have the proper
balance and recognized both the masculine and feminine aspects of God.
It was my hope to restore the feminine aspect of God to the Israelites
and therefore pave the way for a restoration of women to their rightful
role in society as being seen as equally valuable and worthy (not ignoring
the obvious physical and the subtle soul differences).
During my mission, I did indeed value and elevate women, most notably
by blessed Mother and Mary Magdalene. Unfortunately, my disciples were
not able to make the leap in consciousness and escape the programming
of the male dominant society in which they were brought up.
When the disciples took over the task of spreading the teachings of
Christianity, they felt that it would be an insurmountable task to not
only preach my message about Christhood, but at the same time preach
a message about the restoration of women. Therefore, they largely ignored
this aspect of my mission. I am not in any way saying this to blame
my disciples. As a spiritual teacher you clearly realize that people
always do the best they can, given their personal psychology and the
outer situation in which they live. Yet you also hope that they will
be able to transcend both of these limitations. In fact, the true task
of any spiritual teacher is to help his or her students transcend their
inner and outer limitations.
Today, it is high time that people begin to understand and explore the
part of my mission that relates to the restoration of women and the
feminine aspect of God. This has been largely ignored by Christianity
for the past 2,000 years. Yet in the Age of Aquarius, this topic can
no longer be ignored. We can only hope to manifest the Golden Age of
Aquarius, the kingdom of God on Earth, by restoring balance, not only
between the masculine and feminine aspects of every soul, but also between
men and women. Obviously, this has many implications, and at some point
in the be future I might give further teachings on this matter.
Note: The Nag Hammadi Library contains a Gospel according to
Mary which describes a vision that Jesus gave to Mary Magdalene. For
