materialist
You might have grown up in a scientifically
minded environment or perhaps you adopted this approach to life after
being disappointed by orthodox Christianity. You are now wondering if
there is an approach to spirituality that you might actually consider,
but you suspect that Jesus will be the last place you would look.
Well, perhaps this website can show you that Jesus was not a hellfire
and brimstone preacher but a universal spiritual teacher with a lot
to offer for scientifically minded people. In fact, this website is
not anti-science as many mainstream Christians.
Jesus is one of many spiritual beings working to raise the consciousness
of humankind. Over the centuries these spiritual teachers have inspired
many people to bring forth new ideas in every field, including science.
There can be little doubt that if Jesus walked the Earth today, he would
have embraced many scientific findings.
He would never have insisted that science must comply with a literal
interpretation of the Bible. Yet neither would he have accepted the
scientific idea that a universe as complex as this one could have evolved
without any type of intelligence. In fact, he would have insisted that
for science and religion to fulfill their highest potentials, they must
stop warring with each other.
For humankind to take the next step in our evolution, we must unite
the best of both science and religion. Science is needed to keep religion
objective and religion is needed to prevent the mad scientist syndrome.
