The Spiritual Declaration of Independence

IN CONGRESS, one in the eternal now.

The unanimous Declaration of the spiritual people of Earth,

When in the course of the progression of spiritual cycles, it becomes necessary for spiritual people to dissolve the material and spiritual bands which have connected them with those who follow the anti-spiritual forces, the false hierarchy, of this world, and to assume among the powers of the Earth, the separate and spiritual station to which the Laws of Spirit and of the God of Spirit entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of humankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.


We hold these truths to be self-evident:

• That all human beings are created by God, and that God created everything from his own Being and substance. Therefore, all human beings were created as spiritual beings with equal value in the eyes of God. However, equality does not mean sameness. Every spiritual being is created with a unique individuality. Thus, every spiritual being was created in the image and likeness of the Creator and is an individualization of God.
• That all spiritual beings are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights. Among these are Life, as the right to pursue a spiritual life in this material world, Liberty to express one’s God-given individuality in this material world, and the pursuit of the true, spiritual happiness of bringing God’s spiritual kingdom into manifestation in one’s personal being and on planet Earth as a whole. It is the right of each soul to express its spiritual identity and individuality in the material world.
• That to secure these rights, secular and religious governments are instituted among human beings, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed and from the material and spiritual laws of the Creator. Therefore, no human government has the right to ignore, circumvent or invalidate the Laws of God.
• That whenever any form of secular or religious government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the spiritual people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such spiritual principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness, fully recognizing that only the Laws of God can secure the safety and happiness of truly spiritual people.

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience has shown, that humankind are more disposed to suffer, while material evils are sufferable and spiritual evils unrecognized, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. However, as spiritual people we recognize that the world will not become more spiritual as long as we ignore the forces that pull it further into materialism. Therefore, we vow no longer to accept or endure the spiritual suffering imposed by the false hierarchy of this world.

When a long train of material and spiritual abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object of the tearing down of true spirituality and the elevation of materialism as a false god evinces a design to reduce all people under the absolute despotism and tyranny of the anti-spiritual forces, the false hierarchy, of this world, it is the right of spiritual people, it is their spiritual duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future material and spiritual security.

Such has been the patient sufferance of the spiritual people of Earth; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former systems of government. The history of the false hierarchy of this world, as the ruling hierarchy of anti-spiritual tyrants, is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute materialistic tyranny over the spiritual people of Earth.

To prove this, let facts be submitted to a candid world:

• The false hierarchy has refused its assent to the Laws of God, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good and has refused to honor the true spiritual hierarchy established by God as the true government of Earth. The false hierarchy has instead attempted to promote the world-wide illusion that the material universe and all spiritual people on Earth are separated from God or that God does not exist.
• The false hierarchy has forbidden its governors to pass laws of immediate and pressing importance for the securing of the spiritual rights of all people, citing instead the need to separate church and state as a justification for separating the Laws of God from the laws of man, attempting to create material laws that are not based on spiritual laws.
• The false hierarchy has refused to pass other laws for the accommodation of spiritual freedoms, requiring spiritual people to relinquish or compromise the Laws of God in order to obtain representation in the secular and religious legislatures, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.
• The false hierarchy has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, comfortable only for anti-spiritual people, and distant from the true spirit of God-government, for the sole purpose of fatiguing the spiritual people into compliance with its measures.
• The false hierarchy has dissolved representative organizations based on the Laws of God repeatedly, for opposing with material firmness its invasions on the spiritual rights of the people.
• The false hierarchy has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others organizations and representatives to be elected; whereby the legislative powers based on the Laws of God, incapable of annihilation, have returned to the spiritual people for their exercise; society remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from the anti-spiritual forces of this world, and convulsions within the psyche of individuals.
• The false hierarchy has endeavored to prevent the spiritualization of the lands of the Earth; for that purpose obstructing the laws for naturalizing people into the kingdom of the spirit; refusing to pass others to encourage people’s awakening to the reality of Spirit, and raising the conditions of new appropriations of material possessions and privileges to favor the material ruling class.
• The false hierarchy has obstructed the administration of spiritual justice, by refusing its assent to laws for establishing judiciary powers based on the Laws of God.
• The false hierarchy has made judges dependent on its will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries, so that none can follow the Laws of God without loosing their offices and livelihood.
• The false hierarchy has erected a multitude of new offices, in both church and state, based on materialism and man-made laws, and sent hither swarms of secular and religious officers to harass our people, and eat out their spiritual substance and their right to worship as they see fit. Instead requiring all spiritual people to believe and worship according to those man-made doctrines defined and enforced by its officers in both church and state.
• The false hierarchy has kept among us, in times of peace, standing armies of militant materialists who seek to force spiritual people into compliance with man-made doctrines without the consent of our legislatures and with no justification in the Laws of God.
• The false hierarchy has affected to render the materialist military independent of and superior to the civil power and the Laws of God, answering only to the false hierarchy itself.
• The false hierarchy has combined with other anti-spiritual forces to subject all spiritual people to a jurisdiction foreign to our God-given constitution, and unacknowledged by God’s laws; giving its assent to their acts of pretended legislation:
  
  • For inserting large bodies of militant materialist troops among us to prevent us from practicing our spiritual right to worship independently of the powers of man.
  • For protecting the militant materialists, by a mock trial, from punishment for any violations of the Laws of God which they should commit on the spiritual people of Earth.
  • For attempting to cut off our communion with all parts of the spiritual world from which we came.
  • For imposing taxes on our spiritual activities without our consent.
  • For depriving us in many cases, of the benefits of trial by a jury loyal only to the Laws of God and not to the laws of man.
  • For transporting us to the fortresses of the false hierarchy to be tried for pretended offenses.
  • For abolishing the free system of Divine Laws in many nations, establishing therein an arbitrary government based on the laws of man and run by militant materialists, and enlarging their boundaries so as to render them at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute, anti-spiritual rule into all nations of Earth.
  • For taking away our God-given charters, abolishing our God-given Laws, and altering fundamentally the forms of our governments to make them follow the laws of man over the Laws of God.
  • For suspending our God-given legislatures, and declaring the militant materialists invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever with no regard for the Laws of God.
    
• The false hierarchy has abdicated government here, by declaring spiritual people out of God’s protection and waging war against us.
• The false hierarchy has plundered our minds, ravaged our families, burnt our books and houses of worship, and destroyed the lives of our spiritual people.
• The false hierarchy is at this time transporting large armies of foreign anti-spiritual mercenaries to complete the works of spiritual death, material desolation and anti-spiritual tyranny, already begun with circumstances of cruelty and perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the heads of a civilized world
• The false hierarchy has constrained our fellow citizens taken captive on the sea of life to bear arms against their spiritual brethren, to become the executioners of the beliefs of their friends and brethren, or to fall themselves by the hands of the militant materialists.
• The false hierarchy has excited domestic insurrections of militant materialists amongst us, and has endeavored to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless materialist savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of the spiritual inclinations of all ages, sexes and conditions.

In every stage of these oppressions we, the spiritual people of Earth, have petitioned for redress in the most humble terms.

Our repeated petitions for spiritual freedom have been answered only by repeated injury. A hierarchy whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free, spiritual people.

Nor have we been wanting in attentions to our materialistic brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us and them. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our coming apart from a materialistic culture. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence.

They too have been deaf to the voice of spiritual justice and of communion with the spiritual realm. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of the materialistic people, enemies in spiritual warfare, in peace friends.

We, therefore, the representatives of the spiritual people of Earth, in General Congress in the eternal now, assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the name, and by the authority of the true spiritual hierarchy of this planet, solemnly publish and declare, that these united colonies of spiritual people are, and of right ought to be, free and independent of the false hierarchy of this world; that they are absolved from all allegiance to the anti-spiritual rulers of this world, and that all spiritual connection between them and their empires of materialism, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as free and independent spiritual people, they have full power to levy spiritual warfare, conclude peace, contract alliances with the true spiritual hierarchy, establish communion with the spiritual realm, and to do all other spiritual acts and things which independent spiritual people may of right do. And for the support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine providence and the true spiritual hierarchy, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor. May the Divine spark within us shine victoriously and dispel the darkness and materialism of this world!
