Get
Peace . . .
All of your longings,
all of your desires for the things of this world are substitutes for
the true, inner longing of your soul—a longing for peace.
With all thy getting, get peace.
If you do not have peace in your soul, there is something you have not
surrendered:
- Whatever you feel
you cannot live without will take away your love.
- Whatever you
feel you cannot look at will take away your vision.
- Whatever you
feel cannot be done will take away your power.
- Whatever you
feel you cannot leave behind will take away your purity.
Therefore:
- To experience
love, give up your attachments to anything in this world.
- To gain vision,
be willing to look at anything that stands in your way.
- To attain power,
give up the thought that anything is impossible to God.
- To be pure, be
willing to leave behind the imperfections of the past.
Only by choosing
to give up the illusions of the material world can you receive the love,
vision, power and purity of the spiritual world. And only the things
of the spirit can give your soul peace.
Your soul can be at peace only when it is reconnected to its source,
and its source is spirit. Therefore, choose to be who you are in spirit
instead of trying to conform to what the world wants you to be. Choose
to be and stop choosing not to be.
Be here below all that you are Above.
